Light at the End of the Tunnel

IMG_5106.JPGMy last couple of weeks have been rough–physically and emotionally for a variety of reasons.

Today I was trying to get my boys to clean their room when I looked out the window and noticed that the sky was blue and decided that I couldn’t waste another minute indoors. Oswego doesn’t see 60 degree days in February very often.

The two younger boys and I decided to take a walk. I’m not in great shape–still recovering from bronchitis–but it was lovely. I think it’s the best thing I could have done for myself.

We walked through this tunnel downtown and it seemed a fitting symbol. Winters are hard on me. I know it will be getting cold again before spring is officially here, but today I could see the light at the end of the tunnel for the first time in a long time and it made me happy.
